CULTURAL MAPPING PROJECT: Hobart, 1995 Cultural mapping utilises maps, paintings, sketches, and photographs to describe the evolution and ‘urban dynamic’ of the place. As a result of the image collection, and analysis, sequential mapping of the subject site can be undertaken. This mapping is essentially conjectural, and should be carried out on an authoritative survey base. The resultant sequential maps show, albeit in single dimensional form, a ‘cameo’ view of dynamic physical change and modification within the town and city of Hobart.
