Project Description

HERITAGE ASSESSMENT OF THE VICTORIA CREEK BRIDGE DRY-STONE WALLING RETAINING WALL

This Heritage Assessment of the Victoria Creek Bridge dry-stone walling was prepared as a component of a Review of Environmental Factors being prepared by NGH Environmental. The assessment relates specifically to a length of retaining wall, built utilising the dry-stone construction technique, and completed in the mid 1930s. The assessment establishes a Statement of Significance for the retaining wall, and makes recommendations consequent on the established significance, and the RTA deviation proposal. The Victoria Creek Bridge on the Princes Highway is located to the north of Central Tilba in the Eurobodalla LGA. Victoria Creek has its headwaters on the slopes of Mt. Dromedary in the Bodalla State Forest and flows into Tilba Tilba Lake.
